Robert L. Howard, 35, of Dawson, Pa., died suddenly in his home in Dawson, Pa., on Thursday, December 14, 2006. He was born in Uniontown, Pa., on September 29, 1971, the son of Dolly Colbert Howard Sheldon and the late James G. Howard.

He was retired from the United States Navy and was a graduate of the Laurel Business Institute.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a son, Nicholas Howard of Washington, Pa.; two brothers: Scott Howard of Dawson, Pa., David Howard and wife, Bernadette of Portland, Texas; a sister, Brandy Finney and husband, Bryan of Yorktown, Virginia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, Dawson, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. the hour of the service with the Rev. Father Thomas Finnie officiating.

Interment will be private.
