Rosella M. McKenzie
Rosella M. McKenzie, 83, of Nemacolin, Pa., passed away Friday, December 15, 2006, in Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa. She was born January 17, 1923, in Messmore, Pa., a daughter of the late Cuthbert Shipley and Ethel Linderman Shipley.
Rosella was a former employee of Westinghouse Electric Company, Fairmont, West Virginia and a member of Our Lady of Consolation Roman Catholic Church, Nemacolin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. McKenzie in 1989, brothers, Vincent L., Clinton E., Wayne F. and Norman B. Shipley and sisters, Evelyn H. Lambert, Loretta M. Fisher and Alvena D. Budia.
Surviving are her two children: Mary M. Burnette of Nemacolin and Wilma Jean Tuttle and husband, Larry of Rices Landing, Pa.; four sisters: Bertella G. Thacker, Betty R. Forgen, Margaret E. Ryeczek and Idella L. Brooks; one brother, Holmes E. Shipley; five grandchildren: Carrie A. Burnette, Nicholas J. and Jennifer R. Weightman, Jason E. and Whitney G. Tuttle; and three great-grandchildren: John William Sidebotham, Brett Simpson and Damyn Crick.
Friends will be received in the LESAKO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa., 15320, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Saint Hugh Church, Route 88 Carmichaels, Pa., with Father John Bauer, Celebrant.
Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
A Parish Wake Service will be held on Sunday at 7 p.m.
