James R. Carp

James R. Carp, age 47, of Penn Craft, Pa., and most recently of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Friday, December 15, 2006, in Laurel Ridge Center, Uniontown, Pa. He was born January 22, 1959, in Brownsville, Pa., the son of the late John C. Carp Jr. and Hilda G. Kessler Carp.

James was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Republic, Pa.

He was a former employee of Reese Warehouse, Smithfield, Pa., and a former manager of Roomful Express Furniture in Uniontown.

James was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America.

He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.

Surviving are his fianc?e, Robin Lacey of Uniontown; a daughter, Beverly Ann Carp of Uniontown; stepchildren: Jeffrey Lacey and Lauren Lacey of Uniontown; a brother, John C. “Jay” Carp III, and his wife, Lisa, of Penn Craft, Pa.; a nephew, Andrew Carp; and a niece, Lauren Carp.

Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., 19 LEGION STREET, REPUBLIC, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 19, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.

A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Republic, with the Rev. Father Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday at 8:30 p.m.
