George T. Matthews
George T. Matthews, 55, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, December 18, 2006, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born March 23, 1951, in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late Harry T. Matthews and Margaret Bierer Matthews.
He is survived by his fianc?, Sue Ridley of Hopwood, Pa.; step children, Teia Sutton and her husband Dale and Daniel W. Schmek and his wife Kristi, all of Fairchance, Pa.; three step-grandchildren, Jordan, Faythe and Natylee Sutton; five sisters, Joan Venetta of Akron, Ohio, Harriet Stark and her husband Calvin of Fairchance, Pa., Janet Maldovan of Smithfield, Pa., Linda Sanders of Los Angeles, California and Teresa Tanner and her husband Thomas of Fairchance, Pa.; two brothers, Harry Matthews and his wife Carmen of LaFayette, Tennessee and James Matthews and wife Joyce of Fairchance, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
George was a member of Teamster’s Local 491, Uniontown, Pa.
The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, December 21, 2006, until 11 a.m. the hour of service with the Rev. Nicholas Cook officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
