Community calendar
ALL PENNDOT EMPLOYEES AND RETIREES are invited to a luncheon at 11 a.m. Thursday at Denney’s conference room, Route 40, Uniontown. MASONTOWN COMMUNITY KITCHEN will serve Christmas Dinner for it’s bi-weekly meal from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Masontown First Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Church Ave., Masontown. Menu will include turkey and all of the trimmings along with Panera breads, desserts and beverages. The public is invited to celebrate Christmas. There is no charge for the meal, however donations are accepted. Hospitality and fellowship is provided by the volunteers and members from the various Churches and the communities of Masontown, McClellandtown and Leckrone. CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Ohiopyle United Methodist Church, 29 Sherman St., Ohiopyle. The public is welcome to attend the service, which will feature singing traditional Christmas hymns and program performed by the church youth.
