Thomas E. Christmas Eve will be celebrated with two services. BREAKTHROUGH WORSHIP CENTER, located on Ferguson Road in Mount Braddock, will continue to be in revival Sunday at 10:30 a.m. when the church praise band will lead contemporary worship service and the Rev. Adam Lawson, senior pastor, will continue the message “Who Said?”‘ Extreme Adventures children’s ministry will meet during morning worship and hold their Christmas party with gifts, games, food and more. Ron Hudson presenting special music of the season. A candlelight service will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. when the Calvary Choir presents “The Homecoming.’ This musical drama is a humorous and heart-warming story that will strike a familiar chord with anyone who has ever spent Christmas with an extended family. A family Christmas Eve service begins at 7 p.m. This service is very informal and filled with many musical offerings by children and youths. Mariah Matthews and Shannon Smitley will offer an instrumental duet on tenor sax and trumpet. The Calvary Girl’s Quartet, compromised of Kelly Huston, Jennifer Maymick, Michelle Naymick and Gloria Stone, will sing “Heaven’s Child.’ The Calvary Puppeteers will offer two skits with songs as a Christmas message. Kelly Huston will bring the solo “Welcome to Our World’ and the youths and children will sing “Hallelujah Song,’ featuring soloists Christopher Nolf, Matthew Nolf and Jessica Long. The Rev. Maryann Long will read the book, “Have You See Christmas?’ Zach Hill, Alley Kennedy, Michelle Naymick, Mariah Matthews and Jennifer Naymick will play The Boomwhackers under the direction of Anna Long. Their selections will include “The Friendly Beasts’ and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.’ Mary Meeder will be pianist. Greeters will be Donna, Lizzie and Noah David.

At 11 p.m., a traditional candlelight service will be celebrated. The chancel choir will sing the anthem “Away in a Manger.’ A quartet composed of Ted Frantz, Laura Voelker, Ray Ansell and Mary Meeder will sing “And the Word Became Flesh.’ Colleen Zielinsky will bring the solo “O Holy Night.’ This service of lessons and carols will include a Christmas meditation by Long, “Why a Manger?’ Sandy Shoemaker will be organist. CALVIN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 307 Spring St., Brownsville, worships Sunday at 10 a.m. This service includes the lighting of fourth Advent candle and the dedication of the Christ Candle. The Sunshine Club will present a Christmas play. The chancel choir will sing “How I Wish’ and “Cradle of Hope.’ At 9 p.m., the church will hold a Christmas Eve candlelight Communion service that includes the lighting of the Christ Candle. MASONTOWN COMMUNITY KITCHEN will serve its Christmas dinner for its bi-weekly meal on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Masontown First Presbyterian Church, located at 102 W. Church St. The Christmas feast will be turkey and all of the trimmings along with Panera breads, desserts and beverages.
