By Josh Krysak 2 min read

FRANKLIN TWP. – State police are searching for two men suspected of robbing a Greene County business at gunpoint Thursday night. Trooper Robert H. Cree said an unidentified man entered the Shoe Show in the Greene Plaza in Franklin Township around 9 p.m. Thursday brandishing a handgun and demanding money.

Cree said two store clerks complied with the demand, but added that after the suspect received an unspecified amount of money, he struck both female employees with the handgun. He then fled the business through a rear door.

Cree said employees saw a second possible suspect run from the front entrance of the store at the same time toward Interstate 79.

Cree said both women, who were not identified by police, suffered minor injuries in the attack and were treated at Southwest Regional Medical Center in Waynesburg.

Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects.

Police said the clerks described the suspect with the gun as a tall black man, between 6 feet tall and 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a thin build. Cree said the man also was wearing a black ski mask at the time of the holdup. The second man was described as a black man, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call police at 724-627-6151 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4PA-TIPS.
