Mindy J. Adams of Hopwood and Michael E. Tatar of Smock were united in marriage on Sept. 23 at St. Therese deLesieux Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown. The Rev. Ken Zaccagnini officiated the nuptial Mass.

Parents of the bride are Leslie Adams of Fairchance and Mrs. Lyndall Ryan of Fairchance. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Tatar of Smock.

Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a white satin strapless gown embellished with silver embroidery and detailed crystals, silver and pearl beads and flowing to a cathedral-length train. A tiara adorned with crystals and pearls held a veil of illusion.

Trissa Newhouse, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Julie Long, sister of the bridegroom, and Debbie Dillon, were bridesmaids. Haley Dillon was the flower girl.

Kevin Dvorchak, cousin of the bridegroom, was best man. Nicholas Tokish and David Bowers, were groomsmen. Cody Long, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception was held at the Smock Social Hall.

The bride graduated in 1998 from Laurel Highlands High School and the practical nursing program at Fayette Vocational Technical School. She is a licensed practical nurse at Southwestern Endoscopy Center in Uniontown.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduated of Uniontown Area High School and earned a bachelor’s degree form Slippery Rock University. He is employed at Nemacolin Woodlands.

The couple honeymooned at Niagara Falls, Canada.

They are living in Hopwood.
