Bank gives grant
Fay-Penn Economic Development Council has announced that National City Bank once again has made a contribution to the organization for its REACH partnership. A $10,000 donation was presented to Fay-Penn, which has the mission to maintain and increase employment opportunities in Fayette County in an effort to improve the quality of life for county residents, according to officials.
Of the donation, $3,000 is directed to its REACH program, which is the county’s education and business partnership administered by Fay-Penn.
Through the partnership, the local business community collaborates with the county’s six public school districts to help narrow the gap between the knowledge and skills graduates attain and what is needed in today’s high-tech workplace.
