Chess-Pohaski
Kristine Joy Pohaski of Pittsburgh and Robert A. Chess Jr. of Smithfield were united in marriage on Oct. 14, in the Mansion at Linden Hall, Dawson. The Rev. George McLaughlin officiated the ceremony.
Parents of the bride are William and Shirley Schoen of Ingram. Parents of the bridegroom are Robert and Deborah Chess of Smithfield.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory strapless A-line gown with embroidery and beading with a chapel length train. Her headpiece was an elbow-length veil with crystals.
Maid of honor was Kaitlyn Schoen, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sherry Burford, Amanda Cerar, and Kami Tippy, sister of the bridegroom. Flower girl was Valentia Tippy, niece of the groom.
Best man was Joseph Lane. Ushers were Todd Chess, brother of the groom; Joshua Vecchio, and Allen Tippy, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. Ring bearers were Austin Chess and Dylan Chess, nephews of the bridegroom.
A reception was held at Linden Hall.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Montour High School and attended Community College of Allegheny County. She is employed by the law firm of McCann, Garland, Ridall and Burke.
The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Geibel High School and also graduated from Penn State University. He is employed as a manager with Destinta Theatres of Clarion. Following a honeymoon trip to San Francisco and Yosemite National Park, the newlyweds reside in Pittsburgh.
