Mark M. Myers
Mark M. Myers, age 50, of Las Vegas, Nevada, died on Tuesday, December 26, 2006. He was born May 21, 1956, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, the son of Andrew and Helen Myers.
Mark currently was Head Security Supervisor at Sunrise Hospital.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force who served in Desert Storm in Kuwait. He received many commendations and advanced through the ranks while serving in various outposts around the world-Italy, Turkey, England and Japan, to name a few.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Andrew “Shorty” and Helen Myers; his children: Mark M. Myers Jr., Christopher J. Myers and David A. Myers; brother, John R. “Gomer” Myers and his wife Brenda; sister, Barbara Myers Lyons; his companion, Danita Veach; nieces: Erin Lyons and Christy Lyons; nephew, Matthew Myers; two great-nieces: Isabella and Kiera; and a great-nephew, Michael Andrew.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 3, 2007, until 10:30 a.m. when a Panachida Service will be held.
Divine Liturgy will follow at 11 a.m. in Saint John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, East Main Street, Uniontown, with the Rev. Father Thomas J. Wesdock as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa., where Military Honors will be accorded by the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood, Pa.
Parastas will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
