Betty J. Pennell
Betty J. Pennell, 76, of Mount Joy, went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 16, 2006, at her home. She was born on July 18, 1929, in Chalk Hill, Fayette County,
Betty retired from Cope Corn Inc. of Rheems where she worked for 26 years. Prior to that time she worked at the original Mount Joy Diner during the 1950’s, the former Nissley Tobacco Co. of Florin, and for Eicherly’s Cleaning and Tailor Shop of Mount Joy.
Betty will be deeply missed by her four children: Walter G., married to Gina Nace Pennell, Jay N., Married to Kelli King Pennell, both of Mount Joy, Sharon, Married to David Gibboney of Petersburg New Jersey, and Elaine, married to Mark Jastron of Elizabethtown. Also surviving are grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Sheetz Funeral Home, Inc., 16 East Main Street, Mount Joy on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
