Mary A. Hajduk, 79, of Vesta 6, Pa., passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2006, in the Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born on March 24, 1927, in Smock, Pa., the daughter of the late Emery and Mary Batya Hrubos.

Mrs. Hajduk was a member of Saint Oliver Plunkett Roman Catholic Church in Fredericktown, Pa. and a member of Christian Mothers of Saint Michael’s Chapel.

She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Hajduk, one daughter, Maria T. Hajduk, and one sister, Margaret Hajduk.

She is survived by three children: Andrea Stone and her husband, Jim of Smock, Pa., Andrew Hajduk of Vesta 6 and Louis Hajduk and his wife, Connie of Centerville, Pa.; six grandchildren: Michele Halterman, Danielle McCormick, Michael Hajduk, Amanda Hajduk, Alicia Hajduk and Josh Hajduk; two great-grandchildren: Kane and Alexa Halterman; and nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., this evening from 6 to 9 p.m., Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Monday where a Prayer Service will be held at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Oliver Plunkett Roman Catholic Church, Fredericktown, Pa. with the Rev. Father Paul Grunebach as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Brownsville, Pa.

A Vigil Service will be held on Sunday evening at 8 p.m.
