Woman injured
Misty D. Peterson, 27, of Connellsville was listed in critical condition Saturday in UPMC in Pittsburgh after she was thrown from her vehicle in an accident off of Route 982 at 2:05 a.m. Friday. State police said her vehicle went off the road at 1589 Pleasant Valley Road (Route 982), traveled down a small embankment, hit a fence and rolled over several times before stopping in a field. She was flown to the hospital.

Man arrested
Edward Dwayne Coburn, 46, of Uniontown was arrested and lodged in the Fayette County Prison on charges alleging he arranged for another person to get a 17-year-old girl naked so he could look at her, state police said. The incident occurred on June 1 in State Game Lands 51 off of Dunbar-Ohiopyle Road.

Man cited
Christopher Grubach, 31, of 103 Cochran Road, Connellsville, was cited with harassment for allegedly driving around the outside of Uniontown Hospital waiting for a former girlfriend, who is an employee there, to leave work, city police said. The victim obtained an emergency protection from abuse order from Magisterial District Judge Mark Blair.

Gas line ruptured
City police said Verizon workers struck a natural gas line at the intersection of Butler Street and Searight Avenue while drilling a hole for a utility pole at 10 a.m. Thursday. Columbia Gas crews responded and fixed the line. The fire department also responded.

Copper stolen
Copper pipe and wiring were stolen from a vacant rental house at 238 N. Gallatin Ave. owned by Joseph N. Giachetti late Thursday or early Friday, city police said. An estimated $1,500 worth of pipe and $2,000 of wiring was stripped from the house, police said. Copper was also removed from the furnace causing about $2,000 in damages, police said.

Driver injured
State police said vehicles driven by Edward G. Broadwater of Perryopolis and Donald A. Vessl of McDonald were involved in an accident on Route 51 at a township road at 9:57 p.m. Thursday. Broadwater was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital with moderate injuries.

Motorcycle struck
City police said a vehicle driven by Donna Howell, 49, of 17 Summit Ave. hit a parked motorcycle owned by James Shaffer, 57, of Uniontown at 11 Summit Ave. at 10:28 p.m. Saturday. The accident is under investigation.

Home damaged
City police said a fence around a patio at Gladys Snyder’s 386 Morgantown St. home was reported broken at 11:31 a.m. Thursday. Police said numerous broken bottles were found in the area and the screens had been removed from her windows.

Harassment citations were filed against Tracy Kiss, 29, of 39 Murray Ave., Uniontown and Carol L. Harris, 27, of 36 Wall St., McClellandtown for allegedly fighting at Johnny D’s Bar on North Gallatin Avenue at 12:04 a.m. Saturday, city police said.

Theft from vehicle
Suspects driving in a dark green Jeep Grand Cherokee stole items from a vehicle owned by Margaret Peshko, 41, of Brownsville at 749 National Pike at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, state police said. Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call the station at 724-439-7111.

Vehicle accident
State police said vehicles driven by a 17-year-old female and Elsie M. Dvorchack, 55, were involved in an accident on Route 857 near the West Virginia border at 9:30 a.m. June 30. Both drivers refused medical treatment at the scene, police said.

Engine stolen
State police said a 1992 Honda Prelude 2.2-liter engine and transmission were stolen from a garage at Tyler G. Harrington’s home on National Pike between June 16 and 18.
