Freda Jean Esper Nypaver
Freda Jean Esper Nypaver, age 78, of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, July 7, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born October 18, 1927, in Uniontown, Pa.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Michael Esper and Marsha Barkett Esper, her husband, Edward Nypaver, a brother, Joseph Esper, and three sisters, Ann Mullen, Jeanette Surgenour and Catherine Coughenour.
Mrs. Nypaver graduated from Seton Hill College and taught English in the Connellsville Area School district until her retirement.
She was a member of Saint George Maronite Catholic Church, The Ladies Guild and The Altar Rosary Society of Saint George Maronite Catholic Church, The Confraternity of Christian Mothers of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church and the Pennsylvania State Education Association.
She was a very gifted Bridge player and an avid tennis player in her younger years.
Surviving are three brothers: Michael Esper and his wife, Pauline, of Connellsville, Pa., George Esper of Boston, Massachusetts, and Thomas Esper and his wife, Polly, of Uniontown, Pa.; a sister, Rose Jabour of Gardner, Indiana; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today (Monday, July 10) until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in Saint George Maronite Catholic Church, Lebanon Terrace, with the Rev. Father Joseph R. David as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
Visitation was also held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Parish Rosary was said in the Funeral Home on Sunday at 4 p.m.
Service of Ghinnaz was held in the Funeral Home on Sunday at 8 p.m.
