Guns found

State police said six guns were found hidden in the weeds along Hatfield Road at 12:53 p.m. Friday. Police said a Uniontown man was picking berries when he found the guns and called police. None of the guns were reported stolen, police said, asking anyone with information regarding the incident call to call the Uniontown state police barrack at 724-439-7111.

Vehicle damaged

State police said someone scratched a vehicle belonging to Vicki Lynn Martin, 43, of Connellsville while it was parked along the railroad tracks near Layton Road sometime between 4 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Police said air was also left out of three tires, noting that damage was estimated at $1,500.

Trailer damaged

Kimberly Swihart, 42, of Lake Lynn told state police someone kicked the front door of her 576 Gans Road trailer and damaged the door’s lock sometime between 10 p.m. and midnight Wednesday.

Woman cited

Cindy Rankin, 20, of Lemont Furnace was cited for harassment after she allegedly threatened to hit Ruth Keffer, 37, of Brownsville during a dispute Friday at 11:30 p.m. at a Third Street residence, state police said.

South Union Twp.

Woman arrested

State police said Barbara Leichliter, 45, of Uniontown was arrested Thursday after she allegedly trespassed on Bierer Wood Acres property and set some objects on fire.

Juveniles suspected

Myrtle Swift of Uniontown told state police three identified juveniles allegedly entered her Route 40 residence July 3 at 10:30 a.m. Police said they are investigating the allegation.

South Union Twp.

Vehicle hidden

State police said Crystal Hall of Charleroi was charged with disorderly conduct after she allegedly hid a vehicle belonging to John Campbell of Uniontown Friday around 8 p.m. Police said Hall hid Campbell’s vehicle following an argument both were involved in at an establishment on South Mount Vernon Avenue.

Warrant served

City police said officers served a warrant to Janice Baker of 397 Coolspring St., Uniontown, Sunday at 7:08 a.m. Police said Baker was wanted for burglary and related charges out of the state of California.

Man cited

Robert L. Thorpe of 58 Winona St., Uniontown, was arrested for ethnic intimidation and disorderly conduct following an incident in the city Saturday at 7:52 p.m., city police said. Police said Thorpe received a second disorderly conduct citation at 8:30 p.m. after he allegedly caused a disturbance while leaving his arraignment on the first set of charges.

City police said Gary L. Brackenbury Jr. of 6B Gilmore St., Uniontown, was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after police received reports of a man running in the street and almost getting hit by a car Sunday at 1:38 a.m.

Christopher Grubach, 31, of 103 Cochran Road, Connellsville, was cited with harassment for allegedly driving around the outside of Uniontown Hospital waiting for a former girlfriend, who is an employee there, to leave work, city police said. The victim obtained an emergency protection from abuse order from Magisterial District Judge Mark Blair

Copper stolen

Copper pipe and wiring were stolen from a vacant rental house at 238 N. Gallatin Ave. owned by Joseph N. Giachetti late Thursday or early Friday, city police said. An estimated $1,500 worth of pipe and $2,000 of wiring was stripped from the house, police said. Copper was also removed from the furnace causing about $2,000 in damages, police said..

Gas line ruptured

City police said Verizon workers struck a natural gas line at the intersection of Butler Street and Searight Avenue while drilling a hole at 10 a.m. Thursday. Columbia Gas crews responded and fixed the line.

Motorcycle struck

City police said a vehicle driven by Donna Howell, 49, of 17 Summit Ave. hit a parked motorcycle owned by James Shaffer, 57, of Uniontown at 11 Summit Ave. at 10:28 p.m. Saturday.

Vehicle accident

Police said vehicles driven by a 17-year-old female and Elsie M. Dvorchack were involved in an accident on Route 857 near the West Virginia border at 9:30 a.m. June 30.

Harassment citations were filed against Tracy Kiss, 29, of 39 Murray Ave., Uniontown and Carol L. Harris, 27, of 36 Wall St., McClellandtown for allegedly fighting at Johnny D’s Bar on North Gallatin Avenue at 12:04 a.m. Saturday, city police said.

Home damaged

City police said a fence around a patio at Gladys Snyder’s 386 Morgantown St. home was reported broken at 11:31 a.m. Thursday.

Police said the screens were also removed from her windows.

Theft from vehicle

Suspects driving in a dark green Jeep Grand Cherokee stole items from a vehicle owned by Margaret Peshko, 41, of Brownsville at 749 National Pike at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, state police said.
