Frank Kokiko
Frank Kokiko, 85, of New Castle, Pa., passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2006, in the Jameson Care Center, New Castle. He was born on October 23, 1920, in Revere, Pa., the son of Michael Kokiko and Elisabeth Stefko Kokiko.
He was a graduate of North Union High School Class of 1940 and he was in the United States Navy from 1943 through 1945.
He was retired from Rockwell International where he worked as a machine operator.
His hobbies and interests include gardening and woodworking and he was a member of the BPOE Elks #69 and the Eintracht Club.
He was also a member of the Glen Moore Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rebecca Gara Kokiko who died on February 26, 2002, three sisters, Helen Ruse, Ann Kokiko and Mary Shoaf, four brothers, Michael, John, Paul and Charles Kokiko.
Frank is survived by his brother, Dr. G. Victor Kokiko of Goldsboro, North Carolina; a sister, Margaret Secosky of Hopwood, Pa; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the R. CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME INC., Wilmington Road, New Castle, on Saturday, July 15, from 12 to 1 p.m. where services will be held at 1 p.m. with Dr. Velis Vais officiating.
Interment will be in Neshannock Cemetery.
