Charles Andrew ‘Andy’ Ross

Charles Andrew “Andy” Ross, 51, of Hopwood, Pa., died Thursday, July 13, 2006, in his home. He was born on August 30, 1954, in Danville, Ill., to Sherman E. Ross and Susan Alexander Ross.

In addition to his father, a brother, Richard Ross also preceded him in death.

Andy was a farmer and co-owner of Ross Farms in Champagne, Ill. and a meat-cutter by trade working for Shop and Save in Fairchance and in Uniontown. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a member of AMVETS, General George C. Marshall Post 103, Hutchinson Sportsmen’s Club and the N.R.A.

His daughter, Cristen A. Ross and her fianc?e, Todd Goldberg of Hopwood; a brother, Samuel C. Ross of Dowell, Ill. and a sister, Cathy Ross of Baytown, Texas, survive Andy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home today, July 16, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and will continue on Monday, July 17, 2006, from 10 to 11 a.m. A Celebration of his Life will follow with the Rev. Roger Howard officiating. AMVETS Post 103 will conduct Military Rites in the funeral home.

Interment will be in Illinois.
