Charles Andrew “Andy” Ross, age 51, of Hopwood, Pa., died Thursday, July 13, 2006, in his home. He was born on August 30, 1954, in Danville, Illinois, to Sherman E. Ross and Susan Alexander Ross.

“Andy” was a farmer and co-owner of Ross Farms in Champagne, Illinois.

He was a meat-cutter by trade who worked for Shop ‘n Save in Fairchance, Pa., and in Uniontown, Pa.

He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a member of General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood, Pa., the Hutchinson Sportsmen’s Club and the National Rifle Association.

His father and a brother, Richard Ross, preceded him in death.

In addition to his mother, his daughter, Cristen A. Ross, and her fianc?, Todd Goldberg, of Hopwood, Pa., a brother, Samuel C. Ross of Dowell, Illinois, and a sister, Cathy Ross of Baytown, Texas, survive “Andy”.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home today (Monday, July 17, 2006) from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A Celebration of his Life will follow with the Rev. Roger Howard officiating.

General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 will conduct Military Rites in the funeral home.

Interment will be in Illinois.

Visitation was also held Sunday, July 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
