Ruth Spiker Weaver
Ruth Spiker Weaver, age 74, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., died Saturday, July 15, 2006, in her residence with her loving family at her bedside. She was born January 20, 1932, in Uniontown, Pa.
Mrs. Weaver owned and operated the Weaver Care Home for over 28 years.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Past Worthy High Priestess Margaret E. Caven Shrine No. 42 of Pennsylvania White Shrine of Jerusalem and a member of The Order of The Eastern Star Uniontown Chapter No. 263.
She formerly served as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader and served many years as a Bible School Teacher.
Preceding her in death were her parents, I. N. Spiker and Sarah Elizabeth Myers Spiker, her husband, W. Robert Weaver, and a daughter, Kathy June Weaver.
Surviving are three daughters: Sharon L. Hixson and Wendy R. Krzanowski and her husband, Joseph, all of Uniontown, Pa., and Debbie L. Adamson of Lemont Furnace; eight grandchildren: David Hixson Jr., Jennifer Hixson, Samuel Hixson, Sarah Hixson, Ashley Adamson, Allen Adamson, Robert Krzanowski and Joseph Krzanowski; a great-grandson, Noah Hixson; and a brother, Sanford Wayne Spiker and his wife, Donna Lee, of Washington, Pa.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., this evening from 7 to 9 p.m., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 19, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
