1 min read

The River Valley Chapter of ABATE will hold its annual Ride for the American Cancer Society on Saturday. Registration will be held from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at Knucklehead’s on Route 40 in Menallen Township. Free patches will be given to the first 100 riders. There is a cost to participate. All proceeds will benefit the Relay For Life fund-raiser. Pictured (from left, front row) are member Patty Lee, a 19 year-cancer survivor; members Beth Marinelli, Trudy Burkett, female sergeant at arms; Scott Furlong, road captain; (from left, back row) members Sherry Lough and Mike Gibbs, and legislative coordinator and relay committeeman Larry Gumro. The chapter believes community involvement will help create awareness of the motorcyclist on the road as well as educate the public of the need to help find the cure for cancer. For more information on the ride, call 724-246-2622.
