ARD program

The following people were recently admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) program in Fayette County Court. The program is generally for first-time, non-violent offenders.

It offers them an opportunity to serve a term of probation in exchange for having their court record expunged.

Those in the program for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) generally have to participate in the county’s alcohol safe-driving school and can be required to forfeit their license for a period of time.

Judge Steve P. Leskinen:

Rachel Elise Monosky, 19, of Mount Pleasant was admitted to ARD for six months for possession of a controlled substance.

Michael Robert Shuff, 27, of Republic was admitted to ARD for six months for DUI.

Gary Lee Fike, 22, of Gibbon Glade was admitted to ARD for 12 months for theft by unlawful taking and was ordered to make $729.50 in restitution to Burd’s Sunoco.

Nicholas Dale Adams, 21, of Lake Lynn was admitted to ARD for six months for possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Jackson Duane Stark Jr., 32, of Hopwood was admitted to ARD for six months for possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Cora Jean Thomas, 30, of Confluence was admitted to ARD for 12 months for burglary and was ordered to make $55 in restitution to Pamela Shipley.

Michael Scott Sutton, 20, of Uniontown was admitted to ARD for 12 months for aggravated assault and was ordered to make $1,323.29 in restitution to Health America/ Health Assurance.

Chad Edward Kirby, 35, of Fairbank was admitted to ARD for six months for possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Kenneth David Lucas, 54, of Uniontown, admitted to ARD for six months for DUI.

Donald John Smosny, 29, Point Marion, ARD, six months for DUI.
