By The 1 min read

A group of fishermen discovered the body of a Marianna man in Ten Mile Creek Monday night, just off the shore and over a 40-foot embankment in Marianna. Police said the body of Michael Hirosky, 47, was discovered around 8:30 p.m. in the Washington County waterway over the embankment, which runs along Main Street.

Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco pronounced Hirosky dead at the scene at 10 p.m. after emergency crews from the state police and the Marianna Volunteer Fire Department recovered Hirosky’s body.

The cause of death has yet to be determined and results of an autopsy conducted Tuesday evening were unavailable as of press time.

The state police declined to comment further on the discovery and said the incident remains under investigation.

No further information was available late Tuesday.
