Virginia L. Runion Yancheck
Virginia L. Runion Yancheck, 85, a resident of Elyria, Ohio, since 1986, and formerly of Greensboro, Pa., died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at her home. She was born in Pierce, West Virginia, on Dec. 28, 1921, the daughter of David and Martha Rohrbaugh Runion.
She was former member of the Faith Church of the Nazarene in Greensboro, and currently a member of Elyria Community Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mike Yancheck in 1980, a son, Michael Yancheck in 1998, a grandson, Lance Yancheck, a brother David Runion, a sister, Marguerite Runion Krawiec, and three half-brothers and two half -sisters.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Yancheck and his wife, Linda, of Avon Lake, Ohio; two grandchildren, Renee Gannon of Tucson, Arizona, and Dean Yancheck and his wife Libelle of San Diego, California; three great-grandchildren, Brandy and Taresa Gannon, and Naomi Yancheck; a sister, Mrs. Jim (Joan) Hixon of Greensboro, Pa.; and a half-sister, Elizabeth Harrison of Maysville, West Virginia; and her former daughter-in-law, Gail Yancheck Steffhe of Gibraltar, Michigan.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday until 11:00 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Kenneth Haines officiating.
Interment follows in Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro.
