Brownsville Vehicle hits house

State police apprehended the person who wrecked his or her car into a residence on Water Street Sunday evening and fled the scene, according to a spokeswoman for Fayette County 911. According to information from 911, the vehicle that wrecked into the residence was found in front of the Brownsville Police Department shortly after the crash and the person driving it apprehended. Police did not identify the driver nor provide any further information as of press time. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Jack stolen

State police said a three-ton auto jack and hand tools owned by Goodwill Auto Auction were stolen from a storage building at 107 Romeo Lane between 9:09 and 10:58 p.m. Wednesday.

Well damaged

State police said a well owned by Atlas America on Messmore Road was damaged between 8 a.m. Monday and 7 p.m. Wednesday.

South Huntingdon Twp.

Fence burned

State police said a fence owned by Tri Town Sportsman’s Club in Scottdale was burned on Chaintown Road between 7:30 p.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Thursday.

Vehicle removed

Kimberly Palmer of Fairchance told state police someone removed a vehicle from her Sheldon Avenue residence sometime between midnight Sunday and 1 a.m. Monday.

German Twp.

Woman injured

Jennifer Minerd, 21, of Connellsville was taken by helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., with multiple injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash at 5:08 p.m. Saturday, state police said.

According to police, a vehicle driven by Timothy Bowser, 27, of Washington crashed on Route 166, approximately a half mile south of Ralph Road. Police said Bowser was not injured and that both driver and passenger wore seatbelts.

Police said the vehicle was towed from the scene. No information of Minerd’s condition was available Sunday.

Pool damaged

State police said someone cut a plastic inflatable swimming pool belonging to Michael Yeager, 55, of Fairchance sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday and 7:45 a.m. Sunday. Police said two cuts were made and that each cut was about 2 feet in length, noting that pool was located on Yeager’s 25 E. Church St. property.

DUI arrest made

State police said 38-year-old Kenneth Carpeal of Uniontown was arrested Sunday for driving under the influence after being stopped for a traffic violation on New Salem Road.

East Bethlehem Twp.

Man jailed

Timothy Bikowicz, 31, of Kissimmee, Fla., was placed in Washington County Prison on $5,000 bond, charged with driving under the influence and fleeing and eluding police, among other charges, following an incident on Route 88 near the intersection of Garner and Terrance streets at 2 a.m. Sunday, state police said.
