The school board approved the pay hikes under the title Act 93 Proposal, which was an item on an addendum to the regular agenda at the last regular meeting.
School district Superintendent Dr. Ronald M. Sheba said the “Act 93 compensation plan” is not exclusive to the Laurel Highlands School District, but an item all school districts will consider.
Sheba said the school district revisited the issue by holding “meet and discuss” sessions held within the several months prior to the approval.
The compensation plan was approved as a three-year program.
