Ethel L. Taylor, 85, of Rices Landing, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, in her home. She was born May 9, 1920, in Waynesburg, Pa., a daughter of the late George and Blanche Cowen Shriver.

Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker. She was a member of the Waynesburg Beagle Club and the American Legion Auxiliary of Jefferson. She was the Former Treasurer of the Smith Cemetery and a former member of the Cornerstone Genealogical Society and Green County Historical Society.

On March 29, 1941, she married Paul C. Taylor, who died April 24, 2003.

Surviving are a son: P.A. Taylor and wife, Diane of Waynesburg; four grandchildren: Wendy Bowman and husband, Scott, Shannon Rutan and husband, Jerry, George Taylor and wife, Jackie and Troy Taylor and wife, Susan; nine great-grandchildren: Kayla, Tyler and Logan Bowman, Paige and Chase Rutan, Kelly and Kevin Taylor and Jessica and Travis Taylor.

Deceased is a son, Thomas W. Taylor.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday in the BEHM FUNERAL HOMES INC., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Pa., Gregory P. Rohanna, Supervisor, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2006, with Rev. Nick Bardo officiating.

Interment will follow in Smith Cemetery, Waynesburg, Pa.
