Mary Lucretia (Myers) Glover, 90, of Markleysburg, Pa., passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2006, in Kamp’s Personal Care Home. She was born January 29, 1916, in Selbysport, Maryland, daughter of the late Orville Monroe and Martha Alice (Chisholm) Myers.

Mary was the last surviving member of her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. “Roy” Glover on April 5, 2003, four brothers, Roy Myers, Arthur Myers, Fred Myers, and Bruce Myers, a sister, Pearl Cuppett and a son-in-law, LaVern Benson.

Mary was a member of the Markleysburg Union Church, former member of the Markleysburg Grange and Markleysburg-Henry Clay Volunteer Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Woodmen of the World.

She enjoyed gardening and her family was the “highlight” of her life.

Surviving are her loving children: Charles Eugene Glover and his wife, Mary of Markleysburg, Pa., Doris Rosenberger and husband, Link of Smithfield, Pa., Glenna Savage and husband, L.J. of Parma, Ohio and Faye Bettencourt and husband, Dody of Dunbar, Pa.; nine grandchildren: Susan Lewis, Neil Savage, Charlene Wineman, Tana Budner, Renee Schaefer, Steven Bettencourt Kathy Townsend, Bill Glover and Mark Glover; 11 great-grandchildren: Tim and Tiffany Forman, Renee Rugg, Ty and Tia Schaefer, Julie and Alex Townsend, Michael and Lauren Budner and Gage and Madison Glover; two great-great-grandchildren: Bridget Turner and Kyleigh Forman; these sister-in-laws: Fern Myers, Pansy Myers, Elsie Burnworth and Jean Pullin.

Friends will be received in the RODNEY S. TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 254 Main Street, Markleysburg, Pa., on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday until 1 p.m., the hour of service with her nephew Rev. Craig Myers officiating.

Interment will follow in Asher Glade Cemetery, Friendsville, Maryland.

The family would like to say a special thank-you to Kamp’s Personal Care Home and their devoted staff and also to the Fayette Health Care Hospice staff.

In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to the Markleysburg Union Church, Markleysburg, Pa., 15459 or the Markleysburg-Henry Clay Volunteer Fire Department.
