Garnet L. Stouffer Butchock, age 87, of Lamberton, Pa., passed away suddenly Saturday, March 4, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. She was born March 10, 1918, in Connellsville, Pa., the daughter of James R. Stouffer and Myrtle A. Harshman Stouffer.

Garnet was a member of the Lamberton Union Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Steve Butchock Jr. (April 25, 2003), and a brother, Raymond Stouffer.

She is survived by a son, Steve Butchock III and his wife, Pat, of Manassas, Virginia; a daughter, Marlene Sunyak of Lamberton; three grandchildren: Paul Sunyak, Mark Sunyak and his wife, Betty, and Mona Butchock; and two great grandchildren: Jacob Sunyak and Rachel Sunyak.

Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., on Monday after 7 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 8, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Robert B. Patton and the Rev. Roland M. O’Brien officiating.

Interment will follow in McClellandtown Presbyterian Church Cemetery (Church Hill Cemetery), McClellandtown, Pa.
