George “Moe” Vesnesky
George “Moe” Vesnesky, age 65, of Uniontown, Pa., died on Saturday, March 4, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa.
He was born on September 25, 1940, in Allison, Pa., the son of Stephen Vesnesky and Rose Balticink Vesnesky.
His parents and a brother, Stephen Vesnesky, predeceased him.
“Moe” served in the United States Navy during peacetime.
He had been an Advanced Security guard for many local power plants over the years.
A sophisticated, determined, and very hard working man, “Moe” was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of over thirty years, Ethel Irene (Franklin) Vesnesky; a son, George Stephen Vesnesky Jr., at home; three brothers, Leroy Redman of Nebraska, John Vesnesky of Uniontown, Pa., and Andrew “Bean” Vesnesky and his wife Jesse of Allison, Pa.; six sisters, Gladys Scantz of Missouri, Rose “Cook” Neun of Brownsville, Pa., Maryann “Gidge” Moriarty of Smock, Pa., Libby Wostaco of Ohio, Margaret “Babe” Rutherford and husband Bob of Bulger, Pa., and Irene Reposkey of Allison, Pa.; two special nieces, Robin McFadden and Kimberly Villaneuva and husband Joshua, all of Uniontown, Pa.; many other nieces and nephews; three special sisters-in-law, Sandy Bailey and husband Ronald, Patti Chissell and Margaret McFadden, all of Uniontown, Pa.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 7, until 10 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Father Matthew R. Brozovic, O.F.M., officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 51 and the North Union Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8543.
