Sean Cope, son of Timothy and Annette Cope of Coal Center, has been selected February’s student of the month by the California Rotary Club. Sean is a senior at California High School, and has a 3.8 grade-point average. He will be attending the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

Involved with the youth group at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, he volunteered at the summer camp the Mon Valley YMCA, is in the Environmental Club, played soccer in grades 9-11, and is on the media production team that runs California’s morning television show, WCAL.
