Mary Mae (Thomas) Fleming
Mary Mae (Thomas) Fleming, age 99, of Dawson, Pa., passed away Saturday, March 11, 2006.
She was born March 21, 1906, in Dawson, Pa., the daughter of Oscar McLain Thomas and Elis Cullien Thomas.
Mary was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, Vanderbilt, Pa., where she was a Deaconess for many, many years, a Sunday School teacher and a Charter Member of The Ladies Uplift Circle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray Fleming, daughter, Virginia Tracey Huey, son, Kenneth Fleming, two grandsons, Raymond Nichols and Don King, one brother, William Thomas, and one sister, Ethel Thomas Maphis.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Thelma Nichols and her husband, Emerson, of Fayette City, Pa., and Newanna King and her husband, Charles, of Dawson, Pa., and one son, John R. Fleming and his wife, Donna, of Fayette City. She was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 106 East Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., today from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 14, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service. Services will be conducted by the Ministers of The Church of Jesus Christ.
Interment will follow in the Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery, Vanderbilt R.D. 1, Pa.
