Beatrice “Bea” M. Felton Smalley

Beatrice “Bea” M. Felton Smalley, age 83, of Dunbar, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2006, in Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. She was lovingly referred to by her many friends as “Aunt Bea”. She was born on September 23, 1922, in Bruner Run, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Harry Felton and Mary Etta Smith Felton.

“Bea” had been employed as a Selector at the now former Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation in South Connellsville, Pa., a cook, a notary and an owner of a personal care home.

She attended Pechin Chapel and was a member of the Yough River Herb Club, former member of the Ridge View Grange and the Anchor Hocking Ladies Group.

She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, William Felton and Robert Felton Sr., a sister, Catherine Felton Richter, and a son-in-law, Merle Rogers.

“Bea” is survived by her husband of 64 years, James E. Smalley, and was the loving mother of five daughters: Mary K. Hiles and her husband Sam of Dunbar, Pa., Nancy L. Rogers of Dunbar, Pa., Connie Ruff and her husband Richard of Connellsville, Pa., Frances Rosensteel and her husband Danny of Connellsville, Pa., and Jimmie Ann Fosbrink and her husband James Jr. of Dunbar, Pa. She is also survived by a brother, Donald L. Felton and his wife Betty of Smithfield, Pa.; grandchildren: Deborah K. Whoric and her husband Steve, Danny Hiles, Penny Hiles, James Rogers and his fianc?e Stacy Smitley, Marty Rogers, Jenny LoBianco and her husband James, Shirley Ross and her husband Terry, Danny Rosensteel Jr. and his wife Lori, Heather Fosbrink and her fianc? Danny Clay, Holly Fosbrink and J.T. Fosbrink III; great grandchildren: Jarrod, Christina and Brent Whoric, Jeremy and Michelle Rugg, Katherine, Emily and Sarah LoBianco, Bailey and Danny Rosensteel, and Caiten Clay who lived with Mrs. Smalley.

Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, March 15, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Marvin Watson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hays-Smalley Cemetery.

Visitation was also held Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.
