Charles A. Shallenberger
Charles A. “Chuck” Shallenberger, age 66, of Vanderbilt, former member of the Dawson-Vanderbilt-Liberty Fire Company and a former police officer for the Borough of Vanderbilt who was born in Owensdale, Pa., died Friday, March 17, 2006, in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Joann; children: Bonnie Shallenberger of Harmarville, Pa., Marcie Shallenberger Shearer of Vanderbilt, Charles Shallenberger and his wife Dayna of Connellsville, Pa., Michele and her husband Thomas Moses of Lower Burrell, Pa., and Scott Shallenberger of Connellsville; brothers: John Shallenberger of Connellsville, Chris Shallenberger of Scottdale, Pa., Samuel Shallenberger, Robert Shallenberger and Ted Shallenberger all of Connellsville; sisters: Fern Murray of Scottdale, Blanche Mardis of Connellsville, Jerri Clem of Virginia, Betty Jane Fisher of Uniontown, Pa., Alberta Abregg of Waynesburg, Pa., Dorothy Taylor and Paula Porterfield both of South Connellsville, Pa.; and grandchildren: Kristen, Daniel, Sara, Casey, Jordan and Alex.
Friends will be received in the Ralph E. Galley Funeral Home, Railroad at Laughlin streets, Dawson, Pa., today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 22, until 11 a.m.
