Millard Reece Carson, age 85, of McDonough, Georgia, and formerly of Fallowfield Township, Washington County, Pa., died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in McDonough. He was a coal miner at Republic Steel, Lab Manager at Clyde Mine in Fredericktown, Pa., and World War II United States Navy veteran Seaman First Class on armed troop ships in the North Atlantic.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Deborah) Brooks of Mechanicsville, Maryland; son, Baron Carson and his wife Christine of McDonough; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, Pa., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, March 23, until 11 a.m.
