Wayne Heeter

Wayne Heeter, age 77, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away at 7:55 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006, in his residence after a lengthy illness.. He was born in McClellandtown, Pa., on July 28, 1928, the son of Kenneth W. Heeter and Emma (Springer) Heeter.

Mr. Heeter proudly served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II as a Private First Class.

He worked for 20 years after the war in Cleveland, Ohio, and later was employed as a Construction Carpenter for Lincoln Homes in Belle Vernon, Pa., until retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patricia Lynch Heeter in 1986, and a brother, Elwood Heeter.

Surviving are a sister, Loraine Heeter Dorney of Williamstown, New Jersey; a brother, Lawrence Heeter and his wife, Carole, of Ravenna, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the FRANK BURKUS FUNERAL HOME, 26 Mill Street, Millsboro, Pa., today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 29, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral Services will then commence at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Father Domenec Sgro officiating.

Interment will follow in Jacobs Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.
