Celebration set The Dawson and Smithton post offices will be celebrating the release of the new “Crops of America” stamp. Customers purchasing a book of the new “Crops of America” stamp between today and April 30 will be entered to win garden merchandise. The winner will be drawn on May 1.

Meeting slated

The new Connellsville Amvets Post 111 will hold its monthly meeting today beginning at 7 p.m. at the Fairview Club, upstairs. All members are encouraged to attend.

Dinner announced

The Brownfield Community Center will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 years old and younger. Take out will be available.

All proceeds will go to benefit the Dawson Grange Community Fair.
