Dorothy Gales Collins, age 88, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2006, in her home with her loving children by her side. She was born on June 9, 1917, the daughter of Levi Gales and Ethel Blanch (Lafon) Gales.

Her parents, beloved husband, Arnold M. “Shorty” Collins, three children, Rudell, Patricia and Larry Collins, three brothers, Ralph, Charles, and Hubert Gales, and great grandson, Stephen Fetterolf, preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Connie Ferris, Linda C. Adams, Jeanie Glodziak, Arnold Wayne Collins, Debra A. Collins, Mark A. Collins, Cynthia Toth and Bobbi Jo Rubenstein; 18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; a brother, Gordon Gales of Connellsville, Pa.; a sister, Louise Farley of Marysville, Tennessee; two special daughters-in-law: Linda Collins and Judy Collins; a dear friend, Rose Ferris; and her pet, Teddy.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today (Monday, May 1, 2006) until 11 a.m. when a Service will be held in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Shirley Norman officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.

Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
