Ruth Johnson Rowe
Ruth Elda Johnson Rowe, age 78, of Bobtown, Pa., died Sunday, April 30, 2006, in the Coville Personal Care Home, Masontown, Pennsylvania. Born at Live Easy (near Paisley Crossroads), Greene County, Pa., on November 25, 1927, she was the daughter of William Johnson and Lillian Barnhart Johnson.
A member of the Bobtown United Methodist Church, she was also active with the Bobtown Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing bingo there.
She had formerly worked as a Nurses Aide at West Virginia University Hospital in the Nursery Department.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Carl J. Rowe on May 25, 1984, a son, Carl D. Rowe, four grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, a sister, Jean Kohut, and brothers, William Johnson and Donald Johnson.
Surviving are two sons and their wives: George and Nila Rowe of Smithfield, Pa., and David and Eugeneia Rowe of Bobtown; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sanford Johnson and Samuel Johnson, and a sister, Mary Jane McNatt, all of Carmichaels, Pa.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, 501 Morgantown Street, Point Marion, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 3, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Woody Wilson officiating.
Interment follows in Fairview Cemetery, Taylortown, Pa.
