UNITED MINE WORKERS OF AMERICA, Local Union 6290, will meet Friday at 10 a.m. at the Nemacolin Union Hall in Nemacolin. UMWA District 2 benefit services coordinator, Patsy Ricciuti, will speak on pension issues. All widows and members from both locals, 6290 and 6330, are urged to attend.
CHARLEROI HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1946 will hold its 60th-year class reunion on July 15 at the Belle Vernon Holiday Inn. Addresses are needed for several classmates. Anyone knowing of new addresses is asked to call Laurine Weber at 724-483-8822.
ST. THOMAS THE APOSTLE PARISH will hold a spaghetti dinner Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at St. Marcellus Social Hall in Jefferson. Dinners are $6 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Take-out meals will be available. Purchase tickets by calling the parish office at 724-377-2588 or visit from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
REHOBOTH PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, Finley Road, Rostraver Township, will hold a flea market Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Baked goods, hot dogs and beverages will also be sold. Proceeds benefit the Rehoboth Deacon’s group program of sending care packages to local servicemen and woman stationed in Iraq and to an orphanage in Afghanistan, managed by the service men and women. ALL SAINTS SCHOOL, Masontown, will hold a Mother’s Day flower sale Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the handicap parking lot next to the church. Items include hanging baskets for $12 and ferns for $16. A flea market will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tables will be available for rent by calling the school office at 724-583-=2141. Rental cost is $20 each or two tables for $30. Donated items will also be accepted for table selling to benefit the school. Food and beverages will also be sold.
