John Stagesin, age 69, of Brownsville, Pa., died Monday, May 8, 2006, at his home. He was born on December 6, 1936 in Century, Pa., the son of Ernest Stagesin and Katherine Presock Stagesin who preceded him in death.

John served in the United States Navy for ten years.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 940 in West Brownsville, Pa., and the Sons of Italy in Brownsville, Pa.

He was also a member of the Brownsville Eagles and Nixon Gun Club.

John was employed by the H.Y.D.R.A. service in Waynesburg, Pa., and retired four years ago.

He loved hunting and flea markets.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Jenny Stagesin; three children, Jeanette Heyden of Chicago, Illinois, John Stagesin of Allison and his beloved son Jaimie Stagesin and his wife Alma of Chicago, Illinois; three grandchildren Robby Heyden of Brownsville, Pa., Ricky and Jessi Stagesin of Chicago, Illinois; and a great granddaughter, Izabel of Chicago, Illinois.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Father Jerome Botsko officiating.

Entombment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.

Full Military Rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 295, 940, 285 and 838.

The Sons of Italy will hold services this evening at 7 p.m.
