John E. Cottom Sr.
John E. Cottom Sr., 63, of Connellsville, Pa., died Monday, May 8, 2006, at home. He was born on April 10, 1943, in Mount Pleasant, Pa., the son of D. Ellis Cottom and Dorothea E. Porter Cottom Farrow.
John was a member of the Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church.
He was a manager of the VFW Teener League.
John was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Carole Cottom Burton, and a son-in-law, John A. Kline. John was the last member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol A. Cottom; children, Susan T. Cottom of West Mifflin, Pa., and Stephanie C. Cottom of Monarch, Pa., Jonya A. Koslosky and husband Matt of Connellsville, Pa., John E. Cottom Jr. and wife Andrea of Montross, Virginia, and Patricia A. Kline of Connellsville, Pa.; grandchildren, Bryan Kline, Mary Kathryn Kline, Sarah Kline, Alexes Koslosky, Zakary Koslosky, and soon to arrive John E. Cottom III, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, May 12, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jeffrey Popson officiating.
Interment will be held in the Green Ridge Cemetery.
