Officers retained

By Steve Ferris 1 min read

The Uniontown Redevelopment Authority kept most of its existing slate of officers in tact at its annual meeting Tuesday. Board members elected to keep John Oris as chairman, Brian Ludy as vice chairman, Muriel Lantz as secretary and John Ptak as treasurer.

The only change was that newly appointed board member James Cunningham was named assistant treasurer. Former board member James Sampson was the assistant treasurer.

Cunningham said he will be an honest and sincere member of the board.

Mayor James Sileo congratulated all the officers.

In other business, the board accepted the lone bid, $9,954 from A&A Concrete Products of Evans City, for materials needed to construct new sewers for the Gallatin Avenue storm water improvement project.

The materials include state Department of Transportation-approved pre-cast concrete inlets and covers.

No bidders responded to the first project advertisement so it was re-advertised and A&A submitted the only bid, authority officials said.

City workers will perform the work.

The annual meeting was held at Meloni’s Restaurant in Uniontown.
