Investigations continue

Police are conducting investigations into the following unrelated incidents:

– A May 3 criminal mischief when someone threw a brick through the window of a residence located in the 700 block of South 11th Street.

– A May 3 theft of cash from an unlocked vehicle parked in Gibson Terrace. Police said the unidentified victim said that a male and female with long hair and wearing a red hooded shirt took the money from the vehicle.

– A May 4 burglary of a purple Quest BMX bicycle from inside the doorway of a residence located in the 1300 block of South Pittsburgh Street.

– A May 6 theft of prescription medication from a residence located in the 700 block of McCormick Avenue.

West Brownsville

3 teens charged

West Brownsville police charged three 19-year-old men with criminal conspiracy to possess marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop May 2.

Charged were Peter A. Plutch Jr. of East Millsboro, Larry J. Berish Jr. of West Brownsville and Joshua A. Columbia of West Brownsville. The vehicle the three were in was stopped by police for a burned out registration light. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers noticed a smell of marijuana. A quantity of marijuana was found during a search of the vehicle.

Preliminary hearings are set for May 11 at 10 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge William Pelkey.

Cars collide

State police said no one was injured when vehicles driven by Lori Campbell and Jerad Fox collided on East Crawford Avenue at 5:13 p.m. Thursday.

North Union Twp.

Woman injured

State police said a 23-year-old Hopwood man pushed Amanda Capan, 22, of Hopwood, from a vehicle after an argument over money, causing her to injure her head at 4:30 p.m. Monday.

South Union Twp.

Woman charged

Marisa Rivera, 36, of Uniontown was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol after a routine traffic stop at the intersection of Morgantown Road and Walnut Hill Road at 3:03 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

South Union Twp.

Theft attempted

State police said a 25-year-old South Connellsville woman tried to steal several items from a store at the Uniontown Mall at 11:15 a.m. May 3.

Dunbar Twp.

Tools stolen

Several tools owned by the Pennsylvania Game Commission were stolen from a maintenance shed on Dunbar-Ohiopyle Road between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday, according to state police.

Hit-and-run reported

Masontown police said Mike Gogola of Masontown suffered minor injuries when the motorcycle he was driving was struck by another motorcycle on Route 21 sometime last week.

The unidentified driver fled the scene, police said.

Harassment charged

Theo Johnson, 19, of Masontown was cited for harassment after an argument with a manager in Fort Mason Village sometime last week, Masontown police said.

Man charged

John Michael Nagel, 20, of California was cited for underage drinking and using false identification after he tried to gain entry to a California bar at 1:45 a.m. Friday, borough police said.

Three charged

Amber Byrne-Caeti, 19, of Coal Center, Jeremy Conaway, 34, of California and Lacey Lingis, 22, of Coal Center were charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution, criminal conspiracy and disorderly conduct before Magisterial District Judge William Pelkey after they tried to hide Eric Seighman.

Seighman was wanted on a warrant from police at a residence on Mechanic Street April 18, according to California police.

Dunbar Twp.

Girl missing

State police are searching for Mary Beth Beal, 15, of Dunbar who was last seen at her home at 157 Dunbar-Ohiopyle Road at 6:45 a.m. Friday before going to school, police said.

Police described Beal as blonde with a slim build, blue eyes and braces last seen wearing gray sweatpants.
