Bonnie Jean Howard Michaels
Bonnie Jean Howard Michaels, 39, of Mount Morris, Pa., died at 11:05 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. She was born January 10, 1967, in Waynesburg, Pa., a daughter of John R. Darr of Mount Morris and the late Betty Jean Howard.
Mrs. Michaels was a 1986 graduate of Mapletown High School and resided in Dunkard Township nearly all of her life where she was a longtime member of the Davistown Community Church. She had worked as a certified nurse assistant at the Madison House in Morgantown, W.Va., King’s Personal Care Home in Dilliner, Pa., and Smithley Personal Care Home in Mount Morris, Pa. She last worked for Columbia Gas in Smithfield for about a year. Mrs. Michaels enjoyed playing pool, computers, the outdoors and flower gardening.
Surviving are her companion, George T. Rhome; a son, Cody S. Rhome, at home; a brother, Franklin Howard of Morgantown, W.Va., a sister, Bertha R. Howard of Greensboro; two step brothers, Richard L. “Bud” Darr and Raymond C. Darr and his wife Brenda, all of Mount Morris; a step sister, Shirley M. Howard and her husband, John Edward of Greensboro and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, John Sherwood “Duck” Howard; a sister, Linda Lee Howard who died in infancy; her maternal grandfather, John Sherwood Howard and her paternal grandparents, John and Bertha Piper.
Family and friends are welcomes from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the Yoskovich Funeral Home, located at 300 S. Vine St, Route 88, in Carmichaels, Pa. Additional viewing will take place from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., the time of service on Saturday, May 13, 2006, in the Davistown Community Church with the Rev. Virginia Eberhart officiating. Interment will follow at Garards Fort Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Davistown Community Church.
