Russell Marks of Smithfield told state police his Cub Cadet riding lawn mower was stolen from his garage on Smithfield-Masontown Road between 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday, police said.

Dorothy Berish, 41, of Uniontown was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol after she was stopped on Filbert-Orient Road April 18, state police said.

Gun stolen

State police said a .357-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver owned by Alan Boyer of Uniontown was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked on Milton Street between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday.

Drill stolen

A drill and a hearing aide owned by Wade Mahoney of Uniontown were stolen from his vehicle while parked on Dixon Boulevard between 2 and 3 p.m. Monday, state police said.

Woman struck

State police said Kathleen Williams of Wayne Village was struck in the head with a cane during an argument with a 44-year-old Wayne Village woman at a Wayne Village residence at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

One-car crash

State police reported that Janice Bissett of McClellandtown suffered minor injuries when the vehicle she was driving overturned on McClellandtown-Lambert Road 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Church damaged

State police said vandals damaged the vinyl siding of the Shoaf Free Methodist Church on Smiley Road Friday or Saturday.

California police said Oliver Comstock, 21, of Pittsburgh was cited with disorderly conduct after an incident at the Jefferson Apartments at 1:44 a.m. Friday.

April report

The Fayette County Sheriff’s office reported 489 requests for service during April, including 32 protection-from-abuse cases and 10 service of bench warrants. During the month, the office issued 230 gun permits, handled 29 mortgage foreclosure complaints and transported 61 prisoners, according to the report.

Stickers stolen

Masontown police said several registration stickers were stolen from vehicles operated by the Albert Gallatin Senior Center while parked on Main Street Saturday or Sunday.

Man charged

William Glover, 24, of Carmichaels was charged with criminal attempt to commit burglary and criminal mischief after he tried to break into the Sterling Avenue home of Richard Russo of Masontown at 12:29 a.m. April 27, Masontown police said.

Luzerne Township Police Chief Roy Mehalik reported his office responded to 85 calls during April, including 12 complaints stemming from all-terrain vehicles.

Mehalik said police made three disorderly conduct arrests, one protection-from-abuse arrest, one public drunkenness arrest and issued 26 citations for the month.

The township police reported they patrolled 1,132 miles for the month.

Mailbox damaged

Denice Chuska of Uniontown told state police that her mailbox was damaged at her residence on North Gallatin Avenue Extension between 8 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Police also reported that a mailbox owned by Robert McClelland of Uniontown was damaged on the same road Saturday night or Sunday morning.

Two cited

Christina Quaresimo and Matt Petrucci, both of Masontown, were cited for harassment after they both struck Terry Quaresimo, also of Masontown, at a home on Green Lane on Friday, Masontown police said.

Masontown police said John Maraney, 39, of Carmichaels was cited for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after he threw an ashtray and a beer mug at the bartender of a Masontown bar on Saturday.

Charges pending

State police said charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment are pending against a 20-year-old man who struck Shelia Perkins with his vehicle on Morrell Avenue at 8:46 p.m. Friday.
