Robert Swaniger, 63, of Connellsville, Pa., died Friday, May 5, 2006, in his residence. He enlisted and served with the United States Air Force from 1961 to his honorable discharge in 1964. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an upkeep operator at Glenshaw Glass.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Jan (Vanderford) Swaniger; children: Rickey Swaniger and wife, Deanna of Colorado, James Reed of Ohio, Gale Dilday and husband, Dan of California, Larry R. Campbell and wife, Thelma of California, Janice Campbell and Wendy Robles, both of Connellsville; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a brother, Don Swaniger and wife, Linda Sue of Maryland; sisters: Sandra McKneely of Maryland, and Shirley Nebel of Maryland; nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held in the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home, Inc., 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
