Brownsville Alumni Association meeting set
The Brownsville Area Alumni Association will hold its annual luncheon meeting at The Thompson House, 815 Water St., Brownsville, on Saturday, June 3, beginning at noon. The Alumni Association includes the former Brownsville and Redstone school districts. Following a brief business meeting, the speaker will be Dr. Kevin Elko, a Brownsville Area High School alumnus, Class of 1976.
Elko went on to achieve undergraduate degrees from California University of Pennsylvania, and a doctorate in education from West Virginia University.
He is also a certified addiction counselor. He has served many major corporations as a motivational speaker as well as major sports teams such as The Pittsburgh Penguins, the Miami Dolphins and The New Orleans Saints. Elko’s topic will be “The Key To Being Happy is To Build a Big Front Porch.”
