Edna M. Dacko
Edna M. Dacko, 79, of Monessen, Pa., died on Thursday, May 11, 2006, in Mon Valley Hospital Inc. She was born in Uniontown, Pa., on March 28, 1927, the daughter of the late William John and Daisy Mae (Miller) Owens.
She was a member of the Saint John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church and it’s Ladies Alter Guild, the Monessen Eagle Ladies and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of Greensburg.
Besides her parents, she was proceeded in death by one brother, Frank Owens, five step brothers, John William Owens, Arthur Owens, Charles Owens, Randolph Owens and John Eicher, one sister, Beatrice Pulice and four step sisters, Sadie Taylor, Geraldine Mecklin, Ida Mae Hirshman and Bertha Jobes and one granddaughter, Michelle Ondulick.
Surviving are her husband, Edward Dacko and one daughter and son-in-law, Eloise Ondulick and Eloy Ramirez of Belle Vernon; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME, INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen, Pa. (724-684-3700). Prayers will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by 10 a.m. funeral services in Saint John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church with the Rev. Father Rumen Stkoychev officiating.
Interment will follow in Grand View Cemetery, Monessen.
Parastas Services will be held on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
