CROP Walk

The Klondike Clergy Association (serving the churches of Masontown and McClellandtown) is sponsoring the annual CROP Walk in Masontown on May 21.

Walkers collect donations from sponsors to help alleviate hunger both locally and worldwide.

Twenty-five percent stays in our area and 75 percent goes to Church World Service. This year there will be a two-mile as well as the traditional 6-mile walk, both beginning and ending at the German-Masontown Park.

Registration begins at 1 p.m. and the walk begins at 1:30 p.m.

Those who would like to walk may get sponsor forms from the recruiter at their local church, or they may call the walk coordinator, the Rev. Bob Lewis, at 724-583-9207.

Walkers are reminded that we walk rain or shine, so come prepared for the weather. Walkers should bring the top part of the sponsor form to the walk but turn their money in to their local recruiter.

Walkers may also bring snacks to share, as we rest and visit after the walk.

For more information about the Walk itself, contact Lewis at the above number.
